Sue Derdowski Behaviour Change Consultant My career to date has been a journey of self development. Having left school at 15 with no qualifications, worked in a plastics factory for 6 years, spent 14 years in the Armed Forces, I then went to University, gained a 2:1 degree in Criminology and have since worked with a number of agencies to improve the life chances of young people. I have worked with young people from mainstream schools, with Connexions, Pupil Referral Units and Young Offenders Institution amongst others. My commitment to young people and their families is evident through the passion I project when meeting others.
My own school experiences were marred by undiagnosed dyslexia; through training as an NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner, I have overcome my dyslexia and I work with determination to ensure that other young people are supported to achieve their potential. I now see my dyslexia as a friend not an enemy, now making faux pas make me and others laugh. I take techniques from Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Integral Eye Movement Therapy (I.E.M.T) as well as previous skills, knowledge and experiences.
My aim now is to pass on those behaviour changing techniques, (that I myself, wish I had known about years ago), on to others so they too can have that feel good factor (it’s greaaat or is it grrr8). |
